Position 1: Junior Customer Accounts & Due Diligence Officer

Qualifications: BA in HRM, Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

Work Experience: At least 1 year of relevant experience in banking operations.

Essential Functions:

  • Handle customer accounts and due diligence operations in accordance with NBE directives and Amhara Bank procedures.
  • Authorize new customer accounts based on NBE directives after processing e-documents.
  • Manage termination reports and notify NBE and branches of maloperations or delinquencies.
  • Ensure that regions/branches follow the Bank’s Policy on Anti Money Laundry (AML) and CDD measures in line with the Financial Intelligence Offices’ directive.
  • Provide verified information to external bodies such as Police, Court, NBE, National Intelligence Center, etc., related to customer account confirmation inquiries.

Position 2: Administrative Assistant – I

Qualifications: BA/Diploma in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance, Banking and Finance, Marketing, Management, or any other related field.

Work Experience: At least 1 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the banking industry.

Essential Functions:

  • Receive and distribute messages
  • Create and update records periodically
  • Monitor office supplies and control shortages
  • Solve office-related problems, respond to questions or issues, and perform office tasks such as filing, preparing documents and reports, arranging meetings, and ordering adequate supplies.

  • Design, develop, customize, configure, and implement software solutions.
  • Plan, design, develop, test, and implement test plans and strategies for new software development.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform KYC and customer due diligence upon opening accounts.
  • Receive and deliver physical cash from and to customers.
  • Collect/pay cash and debit/credit respective accounts.
  • Update passbook, print deal slip, or issue customer advice.
  • Issue and sign Payment Instruments.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop deployment plans for ATMs, POS, and other digital channel devices by identifying feasible locations, merchants, and operators.
  • Participate in developing initiatives on digital banking business requirements in collaboration with cross-functional units.
  • Closely follow up and evaluate the performance of ATMs, POSs, and other digital channels deployed in various outlets and prepare redeployment proposals for those performing poorly.

  • Lead and provide oversight of the bank’s ethics and integrity-related issues to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, policy, and ethical requirements impacting the bank.
  • Develop, revise as necessary, and monitor the implementation of the bank’s ethics and integrity plan, consistent with Amhara Bank policy.

Essential Functions:

  • Lead in the development and revision of the branch office’s functional strategy aligned with the business-level strategy of the bank.
  • Support regular checks on service delivery at the branch through methods such as customer surveys at the branch to determine customers’ perception and experience of the bank’s service.
  • Plan and lead the resource mobilization activity of the branch by organizing and coordinating the branch workforce effectively.
  • Aggressively engage in marketing and promotional activities.
